... Nestled almost perfectly between the Southern branches of South America and Africa lies the small, yet close-knit island country of Northumberland. Discovered in the mid-1900s during an ocean-wide survey, Northumberland was quickly colonized as an island as diverse as those who came to start off its society. Originally formed under the British monarchy, Northumberland is now an entirely independent country with its own flag, anthem and system of government. Divided up into three main provinces of Brighton, Dalton and Summerside, each of which have their own particular flavors and cultures, the island is an incredibly diverse country with a strong background in world histories.

The strange thing about Northumberland, though, is that it isn't just any country. As a volcanic island (created by the massive volcanos of the mid-Atlantic trench) which still can be seen to be active within its two mountain ranges, Northumberland is blessed with incredibly fertile soil and wonderful farmland. Many farm folk, particularly equestrians, found themselves inhabiting an island that catered entirely to their needs. And so, the country of Northumberland became known as a horse-person's haven; one which has stood the test of the past half-century and is becoming more prominent on the world equestrian stage.

Though small, Northumberland is a proud country. Its citizens are world-reknowned for their enthusiasm, love of their sports, and dedication. We hope you chose to make this your new home.

Welcome to Northumberland, a brand new equine & canine sim with the promise of completely unique gameplay. Based on the fictional Atlantic island of Northumberland, the game's goals, among others, are to bring back the values of community, camaraderie, and friendship that has always been associated with sim games. Northumberland ("North" or NSG as it is lovingly called) is a mature game with a "no crap" attitude; that being said, we love to have fun! Our staff team is broad, experienced, and incredibly enthusiastic; we love our game, we love our members, and we love to have fun.

Though we're just getting on our feet in establishing Northumberland, we already are looking forward to a stable game with some serious longevity.
